3 Tips to make this Labor Day Unforgettable!
To most if not all of us Labor Day weekend marks the end of the summer, which in reality is one of the most depressing realizations one could experience. I mean, in my head summer really just began, and honestly, I am not quite ready to let go of it yet, so I guess I won’t! On that note, what you can do is make this Labor Day an unforgettable one! Follow these three magical tips to make sure of it:
1. Get ahead of the game: start early!
Although you may have plans for Saturday and Sunday lined up, this does not mean you can’t start and “prepare” yourself on Friday! Grab a couple of drinks (or more) with your colleagues on Friday, or even better if you’re getting away this weekend, make plans to meet up with friends in your getaway spot! Even if this is just for a glass of wine or two, it is something spontaneous, fun, and more importantly, it will get you in mood for this exciting weekend!
2. Treat yo self!
If you’re anything like me, then you’re a last minute person, be it to getting your nails done, hair done, or even planning a trip! Yup, I know that feeling, when everyone has made plans and you’re thinking oops I forgot we had a long weekend. Well, don’t fret, this could actually work in your favor. This is a perfect time for you to wine/wind down and treat yourself to a pampering massage or facial. Not only will you feel super cozy, and comfortable, but you will also return from this long weekend, with a shining, glowing and hopefully a more ‘relaxed’ self! Even if you’re looking to stay in, here you can find 33 Ways to pamper yourself!
3. Culinary Adventure!
Firstly, if you’re thinking well I am not a foodie, then, I am not sure if I believe you. Personally, I think everyone has some level of a “foodie” in them, so on that thought, I suggest that on this long weekend, try a new cuisine or one that has been on your list of way too long. We all know that we get into these fits of eating the same things over and over again, or ordering take out every night from that typical sushi spot. Believe it or not, I too am guilty of this. So, during this Labor Day weekend, make it a point to try out something new or if not something random! If you’re into cooking how about having some of your girls over (with wine obviously) and try out three new dishes that have been on your Pinterest board for way too long!
Well, I hope that these tips make your long weekend memorable, spontaneous and fun! Keep in mind, this is a great time to spend quality time with the ones you love, catch up with friends, and last but not least, save some time for yourself!
Lots of love,
